Voucher para experiência de um dia de observação de aves nas áreas rewilding do Grande Vale do Côa. Este é um Pack Especial Famílias até 4 pessoas, sendo que essas quatro pessoas são sempre válidas independentemente da sua relação familiar ou outra.
Em paralelo com os incríveis valores naturais da região, o Grande Vale do Côa representa uma oportunidade única para aplicar os princípios de rewilding devido aos elevados níveis de abandono rural. Esta oportunidade pode ser explorada adoptando uma perspectiva de grande escala da paisagem, trabalhando para melhorar a conectividade entre áreas naturais e, ao mesmo tempo, apoiando modelos de negócio sustentáveis na região que possam estimular as economias locais e trazer valor adicional às comunidades da área.
A Rewilding Portugal está a gerir 3 áreas no Grande Vale do Côa, segundo os princípios de conservação de rewilding.
Consoante a época do ano e o grupo, nesta actividade iremos visitar 2 a 3 destas áreas rewilding.
As aves representam o grupo que mais se destaca pela variedade e ocorrência de espécies de grande valor para a conservação. Destas, enumeram-se a Cegonha-preta (Ciconia nigra), o Abutre do Egipto (Neophron percnopterus), o Grifo (Gyps fulvus), o Abutre-preto (Aegypius monachus), a Águia-real (Aquila chrysaetos), a Águia de Bonelli (Aquila fasciata), a Águia-cobreira (Circaetus gallicus), a Águia-calçada (Hieraaetus pennatus), o Milhafre-real (Milvus milvus), o Peneireiro-cinzento (Elanus caeruleus), o Bufo-real (Bubo Bubo), a Andorinha-daurica (Cecropis daurica), a Andorinha-das-rochas (Ptyonoprogne rupestris), o Andorinhão-real (Apus melba). Outras espécies que aqui podemos encontrar são o Noitibó-de-nuca-vermelha (Caprimulgus ruficollis), o Abelharuco (Merops apiaster), o Papa-figos (Oriolus oriolus), o Melro-azul (Monticola solitarius), a Toutinegra-real (Curruca hortensis), a Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta (Curruca melanocephala), a Toutinegra-carrasqueira (Curruca iberiae), o Picanço-barreteiro (Lanius senator), o Picanço-real (Lanius meridionalis), a Cotovia-montesina (Galerida theklae), a Pega-azul (Cyanopica cooki), o Estorninho-preto (Sturnus unicolor), o Pardal-espanhol (Passer hispaniolensis).
A Wildlife Portugal será a empresa parceira que dinamizará esta actividade. O ponto de encontro será definido posteriormente e a deslocação pela região será efectuado numa viatura desta empresa.

Voucher for a one-day birdwatching experience in the rewilding areas of the Greater Côa Valley. This is a Special Family Pack for up to 4 people, and these four people are always valid regardless of their family relationship or other relationship.
In parallel with the incredible natural values of the region, the Greater Côa Valley represents a unique opportunity to apply the principles of rewilding in the region due to the high levels of rural abandonment. This opportunity can be exploited by taking a large-scale perspective of the landscape, working to improve connectivity between natural areas and, at the same time, supporting sustainable business models in the region that can stimulate local economies and bring additional value to communities in the area. Rewilding Portugal is managing 3 areas in the Greater Côa Valley, under the conservation principles of rewilding.
Depending on the time of year and the group, in this activity we will visit 2 to 3 of these rewilding areas.
Birds represent the group that stands out for the variety and occurrence of species of great value for conservation. Among them, the Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), the Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus), the Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus), the Black Vulture (Aegypius monachus), the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), the Bonelli’s Eagle (Aquila fasciata), the Short-toed Snake Eagle (Circaetus gallicus) the Booted Eagle (Hieraaetus pennatus), the Red Kite (Milvus milvus), The Black-winged Kite (Elanus caeruleus), the Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo), the Red-rumped Swallow (Cecropis daurica), the Crag Martin (Ptyonoprogne rupestris), the Alpine Swift (Apus melba).
Other species that we can find here are the Bee-eater (Merops apiaster), the Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus), the Blue Rock Thrush (Monticola solitarius), the Western Orphean Warbler (Curruca hortensis), the Sardinian Warbler (Curruca melanocephala) the Western Subalpine Warbler (Curruca iberiae), the Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator), the Iberian Grey Shrike (Lanius meridionalis), the Thekla’s Lark (Galerida theklae), the Iberian Magpie (Cyanopica cooki), the Spotless Starling (Sturnus unicolor), the Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis).
Wildlife Portugal will be the partner company organising this activity. The meeting point will be decided at a later date and transport around the region will be provided by a vehicle belonging to this company.
