Rock’ Rewilding
There is nothing better to understand the rewilding approach than to have the opportunity to visit the rock engravings of the Côa Valley in the same experience and see the species that once lived here and that the rewilding movement is now bringing back, live and in colour.

PROGRAMME:
DAY 1
15H-23H30 – Arrive at Rewilding Centre in Vale de Madeira (Pinhel) for check-in (for those arriving before dinner, we recommend the Deep Taste restaurant in Pinhel)
DAY 2
09H30-12H: Guided visit to Ermo das Águias rewilding area, to learn about Rewilding Portugal’s work in the field, explore the region’s fauna and flora, and see our herds of Sorraia horses and Tauros roaming free in person.
12H15: Travel to local village Trancoso
13H: Lunch with local and typical products in Mercearia do Fradinho
14H30: Travel to Castelo Melhor
15H30-18H: Visit to rock engravings of the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, with Ambieduca
18H30: Travel to Miuzela village
20H00: Vegetarian dinner prepared by a specialised private chef, Miguel Veiga and served in Casa do Brigadeiro accomodation
21H30: Overnight in Casa do Brigadeiro

DAY 3
09H15: Travel to Vale Carapito rewilding area in Vilar Maior, Sabugal
10H00-13H00: Guided visit to Vale Carapito rewilding area
13H00: Lunch inside Vilar Maior historical castle, with local products from Wild Côa Network members
14H30: Return to Rewilding Centre and end of programme
Everything described above is included in the experience and in the final budget, as well as all breakfasts. This experience is available for groups of between 1 and 16 people.
